I flatter myself that I have a ‘classy’ taste in what I wear - from my bridal jewellery to my handbags. I do not like flashy garments, but I do like to dress well and look good. For me, one of the defining pieces of a man’s wardrobe is his watch. There is symbolism in the timepiece that has been there for many centuries. A watch indicates that a man is conscious of his day, his time, and a stylish timepiece lends a confidence and poise to the man’s look. A watch does not have to cost thousands of dollars to be a strong and classy accessory. Simplicity can be winning as well as a complex, mastery of Swiss engineering. My own watch, a gift from my wife, which I treasure, is simple silver steel, with a rich blue face. It carries only one set of hands, but it fits my personal style. I enjoy wearing it, even though I am not a man who often wears any sort of jewelry. |

I'm quite a shy woman, yet I've agreed to attend a fancy dress party next week. I can just imagine it - women dress up in "bimbo" attire - I'd die a small death if that were me. I've only seen the womens fancy dress costumes online, but I have to say it's not my personal cup of tea. I might as well go as Anne Frank or someone like that - that would suit my character better! Anyway, I can't back out now so I'll need to rack my brains and find a character that suits me personality and so I can go to the party with some confidence. They say that if you assume the character of who you're dressed up as completely, you can "shed" your shyness and inconfidence, but that sounds like a tough act to pull off, so I think I'll just go as someone circumspect and quiet! |

I got my favorite pair of shoes in the summer of 2006, at a local retail store that specialized in punk rock clothing. I wore them out of the store and I continued to wear them every day throughout high school. They look like fancy wingtip shoes that you would wear to a dance or even a formal event, but they had the soles of Doc Martin boots that blended stylishly with the rest of the shoe. I started to wear them out after a few years of heavy use, and I wanted to start wearing a more casual shoe. I stopped wearing them for about a year or so. During a cleaning of my house I found them again and got as excited as I was when I first bought them and now I continue to wear them daily. I am a professional speaker, and I need to dress professionally, but I still want to hold on to my punk rock roots. Wearing them I feel like I am bridging the gap between my former self, and my present self, which I feel is an important step to personal evolution. It's hard to imagine that something as simple as a pair of shoes could mean so much to my emotional well-being, as well as my sometimes highly scrutinized public image. |

When it comes to footwear, I like to keep things simple. I need a shoe that looks great with jeans and but can also pass muster when I’m wearing a suit. I also need something that’s comfortable and built to last because I spend lots time on my feet. My choice of footwear is Blundstone boots. These pull-on boots from Australia are famous for their durability, comfort and timeless style, and the beatnik look can be completed with some wooden bead necklaces or similar. As for boots, the Style 63s are my go-to boots for every-day wear. They’ve got full-grain leather uppers, square toes, elastic sides and pull tabs that make it easy to slip in and out of them. And boy, do they last! I’ve been wearing my Blundstones every day for almost five years, and they’re still going. There’s plenty of life in their soles and even though they’re scuffed, a quick dust-off and a bit of shoe polish is all it takes to spiff them up for any occasion. |

My favorite color scarf is either black or white. I have many black and whites scarves as well as in between, scarves which are made of both colors in many patterns. These two colors go with any dress or attire. Whether I am wearing my long leather overcoats or a simple over coat with a suit and tie or just some slacks and a nice shirt, white scarves are awesome. I imagine this like for these color scarves stem from my being lazy and not wanting to match what I wear with the rest of my clothes but it must have been serendipitous in itself. I discovered a look which suits me. My many forms of scarves are short, thin, fat and my favorite which are long. Much like my beloved Doctor on television, even if I wrap one of my scarves around my neck once or twice the ends still hang down past my feet. |

I can appreciate all kinds of fashion items - from my boutique Maggie and Me dresses to my pashminas. However, my favorite fashion item would have to be jeans. I really like wearing a nice pair of jeans, and they seem to be my main point of interest in clothing, and fashion. My favorite kinds of jeans are baggy jeans. They are very comfortable, and look “hip”, and “cool” as well. I like darker colored jeans, however, I do wear jeans that are a bit lighter from time to time. The brands I usually wear are Wrangler, Levi, and Real Work-Wear. They are all very long-lasting, comfortable, and reliable jean brands. I absolutely cannot stand wearing a pair of jeans that I do not like. If they are too tight, too short, or perhaps just an extremely light color, then I will be uncomfortable all day. That is why I always try new jeans on, and wear them at home for a little while to be sure they fit my liking. Jeans are probably one of my most liked articles of clothing. |

When buying a gift for a family members or friends, it can be a painful experience. Besides considering your budget you also have to consider what he/she likes. This is where the headache begins not only do you have to guess what he/she likes, he or she might not like it! To save the hassles just try making the gift. Making a gift can be as simple as making a card or knitting a sweater, or using jewellery making supplies to make bespoke jewellery. These gifts are usually fine for a girl but a guy might be a little more complicated. If you can not figure out what to make for the guy, just buy him a power tools. Always work! The gift does not have to be expensive or fancy as long as you put a little thought into it, it would be fine. If they do not like the gift forget them! P.S. Any real family members or friends will always love the gift regardless of what it is. |
